Kitchen Renovator:
Your Kitchen Should Work for You, Not Against You

I think we’ve all been in a kitchen where nothing is in the right place. The refrigerator door hits the island. The pantry is a mile from the counter. There’s one outlet for all your appliances. It makes cooking feel like a chore.

A good kitchen remodel isn’t just about new cabinets and a fancy backsplash. It’s about making the space work for your life. We worked with a couple in Patchogue who loved to cook together, but their kitchen was a narrow galley style. They were always bumping into each other. We opened up a wall to the dining room, created an island with a prep sink, and gave them plenty of room to move around. Now, cooking is something they enjoy together.

As kitchen renovators, we look at the whole picture. We think about how you actually use the space.

Common Kitchen Layouts We Work With

The Galley Kitchen

Common in older Suffolk County homes. It’s efficient but can feel cramped. We can open it up or use smart storage solutions to maximize space.

The L-Shaped Kitchen

This is a versatile layout. We often add an island to create a U-shape, which provides more counter space and storage.

The U-Shaped Kitchen

Offers great workflow. The challenge can be making it feel too closed off. We might use open shelving or a peninsula instead of a full wall of cabinets.

Step 1: The Design Consultation

This is where we listen. We’ll talk about your must-haves, your wish list, and your budget. We’ll measure your kitchen and start sketching out ideas. We help you think about the workflow between the sink, stove, and refrigerator.

Step 2: Planning and Material Selection

We create a detailed plan and help you choose everything: cabinets, countertops, flooring, backsplash, and fixtures. We have relationships with suppliers and can guide you toward options that fit your style and budget.

Step 3: Demolition and Prep

We start by carefully removing the old kitchen. We set up containment to keep dust from spreading through your house. This is when we address any surprises behind the walls, like outdated wiring or plumbing.

Step 4: The Rough-In Work

This is the behind-the-scenes magic. Our licensed plumbers and electricians come in to move pipes, gas lines, and wiring to their new locations. Everything is inspected to meet Suffolk County code.

Step 5: Installation and Finishing

The new drywall goes up. The cabinets are installed level and secure. Then come the countertops, sink, plumbing fixtures, lighting, and flooring. We pay close attention to every detail.

Step 6: The Final Walk-Through

We do a complete review with you to make sure every last detail is perfect. We show you how to care for your new surfaces and provide warranties on our work.
